It is true that Canada’s system is not the same as the U.S. system. It’s designed to deliver a somewhat different product, to a population that has somewhat different expectations. But the end result is that the vast majority of Canadians get the vast majority of what they need the vast majority of the time. I have no insurance. I come from an upper middle class family. My dad was a great scientist. I have a bachelor’s degree that pounds at the left floor of stomach. And an unthought Master’s degree that is creaping swiftly though my ovaries …wondering what fuck you’re gonig to do with Both. I work my ass off daily bartending and serving. So, too many struggle like I do.
